Makeup storage options.
I’ve made posts about this before but there are a few more options out there now so i thought i’d do an updated version.
(click the product name for a link to their site)
The Clear Cube
Clear cube offer 3 different options with prices ranging from $300-$350. Super spendy but very hard-wearing and well made.
Original Beauty Box
This comes in one style but its an awesome one at that. The drawers are a variety of sizes which i love and it seems like the space is all very useable! I’d probably have bought 2 of these instead of my clear cubes had they been available back then. At $120, this is a great product.
These guys offer a similar product to the clear cube at a better price, i’m not sure of how the quality compares but its a great option. They offer a 5, 6 and 7 tier option with prices ranging from $149.99- $229.99.
My Cosmo Cube
These guys offer two different towers along with a hair tool organizer and a bling option! Prices range from $159- $229. As far as i can tell the drawers are a uniform size opposed to the brands that make the extra deep drawers.
These towers are similar but have a rounded top and what looks like an “e-diva” decal on top. Prices range from $198- $297.
These are a much more affordable option that look just as sleek. Prices range from around $15 to $25. Stack a few of these together to make your own giant storage tower!
The Makeup Box Shop
This shop offers a bunch of different options in acrylic towers ranging from around $50-$160.
I can’t speak for the quality of any of these other than the Clear Cube and Muji organizers but both of those are great and have lasted well for me.
Know of any others? Let me know!
-Hi! I have the clear cube and muji drawers. The Original Beauty Box is a much more affordable version that i actually prefer but wasn’t available when i bought my clear cube.
-I’ve never mixed the color supplement with anything but you can use any really. Try a Lush one thats suitable for your skin! I use One Love Organics skin savior as an every day moisturizer but i don’t think it’d mix too well with the color supplement.
- I’ve never tried it but if they ingredients sound scary i think you’ve got your answer right there.
Ikea clear cube alternatives.
(thanks to whoever messaged me about this, next time add some links too:))
Clear cube alternatives
For those of you who were interested in my Clear Cube makeup storage but not the price (!!!), here are some great alternatives on amazon. The Container Store also have some really neat storage ideas for makeup.. just use your imagination for items not specifically for cosmetics.
The Clear Cube
A lot of you have been asking for info on the clear cube so here’s a post i can put in my beauty FAQ with all the info but as usual, if i missed anything, just ask!
First off, the clear cube is expensive, i already know this because i bought one.
So please don’t message me telling me how ridiculously overpriced it is. Even if you can’t afford this one, maybe it will give you some ideas as to making your own version out of other acrylic storage systems available.
It comes in a 4 or 5 drawer option. The 4 drawer has a double height drawer at the bottom which would be great for larger cosmetics.
You can purchase different inlays for the drawers, a grid insert or an x insert. I got a combination of both. They are removable and you can put them in whichever drawers you like.
It doesn’t say you can on the website but i removed the lid from mine by just pushing the long acrylic pin out of the hinge. It didn’t cause any damage and i can easily put it back on but i like that i can keep large products in the top.
I used 2 drawers for foundations/concealers/bronzers/blushes, 1 for lips, 1 for eyes and 1 for palettes.
In the top i have brush cleaner/makeup remover/lashes/tools.
You can find all the pricing on their website.
I love it but it’s definitely not priced for everyone. Do some searching online for options suitable for your budget :)
Lastly, yes, the Kardashians have it!
